![]() In the "Access" section of the sidebar, click Collaborators & teams. Under your repository name, click Settings. On, navigate to the main page of the repository. If they don't have a username yet, they can sign up for GitHub For more information, see " Signing up for a new GitHub account". If you exceed this limit, either wait 24 hours or create an organization to collaborate with more people.Īsk for the username of the person you're inviting as a collaborator. I never received any slackware invitation, nor have they ever give my money back.Note: GitHub limits the number of people who can be invited to a repository within a 24-hour period. I was looking at my old comments and came to this. If and when I get it, I'll see if anyone can help me with this, if not, I'll just have to contact them from any available source to give my money back which I'm already sure that they aren't going to give it back.Įdit: After a year (current date: ) this post is archived and I cannot comment again so edit the original comment it is. I'll at the very least wait a bit until I get my invitation link for slackware (if ever, now I'm as skeptical as one could get). ever in my entire life and the next one I'll ever recommend this product to anyone, not even to my enemies as this is too much of a pain and I would end up having pity on them for using such a tool. I don't consider this company a scam or anything, but sure as hell I don't consider them trustworthy, not after what I've experienced nor after reading this reddit post. I guess this might be one of the reasons they don't support PayPal. If they had PayPal as a payment method, I would have immediately contacted PayPal to cancel the payment as the product that I received is defunct and the company does not provide any support. not only have I paid for a tool that doesn't work, I can't get support for the tool that I paid for. But I can't actually confirm this statement because when I tried to sign up for GitKraken Slackware I had to enter my email address in a form so that they could send me an invitation link (still waiting after 4 hours). If I want to have any kind of support at this point, it needs to be done through gitkraken slackware which is the community assisting, not the developers. ![]() If I pay for a tool that pretty much provides the same features as a free tool does in which that tool provides the appropriate support, I would expect that this tool would be the same or at the very least, if you pay for it a single dime then you'll have support, which is not the case (I did read the product plans before purchase, I just thought that the tool would work as intended considering the years the tool has been under development and considering that many sites recommend this). I wanted to report this issue to the team that develops GitKraken, but hey, guess what? You need to purchase the Pro license in order to have email assistance. Meaning, if I want to switch tabs, I have to wait ~30 seconds for it to finally switch (this happens every single time I'm trying to switch out of the repo's tab). takes ~30 seconds.Īlso, I have no idea why GitKraken refuses to switch tabs until it finishes to ?update? the current tab's repository which takes the exact same time as when it is trying to open it. It loaded after a second, now lets try to load it from the NAS which is connected directly to my computer by network cable. just to test things out, I copied the repo to my local drive and opened it. was the fact that the tool is absolutely USELESS when trying to open even the smallest repos (~30Mb) on a network folder. Since I use private repos, I tried purchasing the Individual license plan for 25€. However, considering the additional features it provides aside from what SourceTree also gives for free (kanban board, team calendar, milestone timeline all in one), it actually looked like a pretty good tool (from youtube reviews and GitKraken documentation). In my opinion, private repos shouldn't be locked behind a paywall for any application what so ever, especially taking into account that this tool (git feature wise) does pretty much the exact same thing as the sourcetree application does (and sourcetree is free).
